The case against

The main cost is not parsing disclosures but maintaining a trustworthy underlying map of data flows. Hospital vendor lists, interfaces, and owners are often scattered, and outdated maps can send an investigation in the wrong direction. The product also handles sensitive architecture and processing records, creating demanding requirements for deployment, access controls, and auditing. Vendor responses are often legally reviewed, so automatically narrowing scope can create false certainty. If legal and forensic teams do not accept the task evidence, users will return to email and spreadsheets. The condition for proceeding is that every judgment identifies its source, status, and human confirmer.
