AI Tutorial Replay Box
Save an AI tutorial video in one tap, then return later to the useful clip, extracted steps, and materials needed to try it.
When users come across a short video about Claude, image generation, or automation, they send its link to Replay Box through the system share sheet. They do not need to pause to organize tags or forward the video to themselves and hope they can find that message later. Each save initially shows the source, duration, and the task mentioned in the video, such as “turn an interview into an outline” or “batch-edit images with prompts.”
The service reads captions, on-screen text, and spoken steps from public videos, then isolates the segments that actually demonstrate the process. It identifies the models, websites, and input materials mentioned, and groups multiple explanations of the same technique under a single topic card. Users can still expand the card to see how different creators approached it, rather than mistaking one popular tutorial for the only answer.
Weeks later, a user can search, “that method for having Claude organize an interview,” and Replay Box returns the topic card, short steps, and jump-to timestamps. If a step requires a spreadsheet, audio file, or a specific plugin, the card states that clearly. Users can drag cards into a “Try This Week” list, then record their own results and notes after trying them.
The first version supports public links from TikTok, X, YouTube, and Instagram, focusing on saving, transcription, grouping, and action-based retrieval. Videos whose captions cannot be read retain the original link until the user adds a brief note; the product does not download or republish source videos, or perform the AI actions shown in them.
Why now
An August 14, 2026 post on r/ClaudeCowork asked how to organize saved AI videos across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Commenters suggested Google Tasks, Notion, Gemini scheduled tasks, and Google Drive, but there is still no unified, maintenance-free workflow for collection, content extraction, and semantic retrieval. Target user
The primary user encounters many AI tool tutorials every day but does not stop to organize them on the spot. The problem emerges weeks later, when they need to complete a task and remember only the general idea—not the platform, creator, or title. At that point, ordinary saved folders and chat histories are difficult to search by an action such as “organize an interview.” A second audience frequently tests prompts and automation workflows, needs to compare different creators' approaches, and wants to record what worked in practice.
Minimal entry point
Start with iOS and Android share-sheet entry points that accept only public links and a one-sentence user note. The backend first normalizes URLs, deduplicates them, identifies the source, and retrieves basic metadata. TikTok’s official oEmbed can provide a title, author, thumbnail, and embed content, but not a transcript. When reading fails, save only the link, cover image, and user note; do not promise reliable transcription across all four platforms.
Punching above its weight
The first users are in Reddit communities for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and automation tools, as well as creator comment sections where tutorials are frequently shared. Publish a public “Reusable AI Techniques This Week” page that links each card back to the original creator and shows how multiple tutorials were grouped. A browser extension and mobile share entry point can include invite links, bringing in similar users as people share specific tutorials. Importing YouTube Watch Later lists can also make existing saves immediately searchable.

The opportunity is to narrow “saved content” into “a retrievable action,” at the cost of harder platform integration.

It also does not clearly show automatic grouping of similar tutorials from multiple creators into topic cards while preserving differences in their approaches. A featured product that only saves content and offers semantic search would struggle to stand apart. The real opening is a dedicated structure for hands-on AI content that takes users from a vague memory straight back to a verifiable point in the demonstration.
How it makes money
Use a free allowance plus a personal subscription. The free tier keeps a limited number of topic cards and manual notes; the paid tier unlocks ongoing transcription, cross-video merging, semantic retrieval, and full history. Price around monthly processing volume so heavy video users do not overwhelm inference costs.
The case against
How much of a public short video can be read will directly determine the product experience. Saving a link does not mean captions, on-screen text, and precise timestamps can be retrieved reliably. Logins, regional restrictions, deleted videos, and API changes can all make results inconsistent. Automated extraction can also mistake spoken advice for an actual step, or merge tutorials that look similar but rely on different assumptions. If users follow one incorrect card, they may begin to distrust the whole library. Frame-by-frame OCR, speech transcription, and model extraction also create continuing compute costs. If subscriptions cannot cover heavy users, processing limits will need to tighten. Before launch, validate success rates for common links and whether users will add a one-sentence note to failed items.
